SEPTEMBER 30- VILLAVICIOSA

Yay! A day without rain.  It was a beautiful day for a ride.  Bigger climb than we expected for a total of more than 1800 feet.  The legs are tired tonight! We didn’t see very many pilgrims on the road today though we were on the same path as the walkers. Per our usual routine, we stopped for coffee a couple of hours in. Nice to sit in the sunshine.
Villaviciosa is a pretty town and our room looks out on a small plaza. Sitting at a cafe this afternoon, we watched a lot of tired looking walking pilgrims trudge in.  I’m sure the long hills were wearing on them like they did us.  We will be seeing those climbs on our walking Camino after one more day of cycling.

Door bell?
Villaviciosa in Asturias is proud of their apples
And their sidra. They taught me how to pour it. It takes some concentration and I could not get the height.
