Not the easiest day but the most enjoyable so far. We climbed a long hill from 5-8% grade about 1400 feet. It was rainy but fewer cars due to being Sunday. We were treated to a double rainbow coming out of Castro Urdiales and a lot of pretty views along the way. We rode through some small towns on the way to Laredo where we stopped for cafe con leche and a beer. There was some kind of festival going on with many people dressed up in costumes. We rode a long the beach to a little ferry that we took across to Santona and then a short pretty ride to our pension In Escalante. About 22 miles today.
Please pray for the people on the Gulf Coast as hurricane Ian will be coming into the gulf waters later this week. West Coast of Florida is in a current state of emergency.
So fun following you guys!
