A much shorter ride today, only 22 miles. The climb out of Gernika was long but a lovely view at the top. It looks like it is getting to be fall here. We arrived in Bilbao around 1 p.m. and had to go to a bike shop. Anthony’s bike derailer is not working well and, apparently, cannot be fixed.
Bilbao is a pretty city. Our pension is in the old part of the city close to the cathedral. The restaurant next door was really good and we were happy to have a good salad. Anthony thought it was weird that I would hav3 a hamburger in Spain, but it was delicious!
