Our pilgrimage continued today in Fatima, Portugal. We spent the day at the sanctuary of Fatima. We went to an English Mass at the Chapel of the Apparitions, which is the site of the first apparition in May 1917. We visited the basilica which has the tombs of the 3 children visionaries, Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco and also toured the houses where they lived. What a beautiful and holy place. The square in front of the basilica can hold about 500,000 people and I imagine it was packed a few weeks ago on October 13th which is the anniversary of the last apparition and the miracle of the sun.
Tomorrow we head down the coast to Zambujeira do Mar
